As the founder of Graduation Attire, Martin launched the company in 2012, following his own graduation troubles. After he had paid more to hire his gown than the cost of a car for the day, Martin realised that there was a gap in the market to provide attire to the students which met traditional standards at more affordable prices. Following a successful start to the company and achieving his fellowship for the Burgon Society, Martin realised that there was a lot of similarities in production process between Choir Wear, Legal Wear and the original focus of Graduation Wear. To have the knowledge required to supply in these industries professionally, Martin set about learning more about these two industries, the traditions that have led to designs being as they are and more about the production process. As a strong believer in sustainable and ethical business practices, in 2017 Martin brought across the first Eco-thread Graduation Gowns to the UK made from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic waste. One of Martin’s main aims is to spark a change in the graduation industry where EnviroThread gowns become the industry standard and create the first fully sustainable industry in the UK. Overall Martin has worked hard to ensure that our company is focused on reducing waste and providing consistent and positive customer service to ensure that your event, whether that is the celebration of your Graduation, fighting for your clients in a legal case or performing for your church community.
